Jeddah - Effat University showcased its 2^nd annual exhibition titled “MEMARIAT  2010” on Sunday, May 30^th under the patronage of  HRH Princess Lolouh Al-Faysal.

The event was attended by prominent businessmen, engineers and faculty members, all of whom were seen congratulating the students and admiring their displayed projects.

The expo was opened by Dr. Hayffaa Reda Jamal Allail, Presdent of Effat University, and was proud that their Faculty of Architecture hosted such an event showcasing the work of their female students. According to Dr. Jamal Allail, “The exhibition is of benefit not only to the students, but also to the public in general. “The expo highlights the work of students at different levels, giving a chance to professionals in the construction sector and the public to interact with our students, estimate their potential, and encourage and appreciate their architectural concepts and ideas,” she said.

During this event Dr. Faysal Alaquil, Chairman of the Consultancy Committee of the Architecture Division of the Faculty of Engineering of Effat University and Director of Business Development of Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) gave a speech on this occasion to the students praising their accomplishments, He further commented that he admired the designs that were displayed in the exhibition as they reflected our environment and our Islamic heritage, and in no doubt, these talented students will find welcoming opportunities in local Architectural firms.

 Dr. Alaquil also encouraged the students to continue the path of higher education, and advised the them to take advantage of the privilege of being associated with such a prestigious University,  and that they may be included among other graduates that are now contributing to our society with their acquired talents.
