VISION Signs SR. 1.3 billion Contract in Riyadh Project February 01, 2010

Riyadh – VISION Electro Mechanical Company (Vision), a subsidiary of Construction Products Holding Company (CPC), signed a SR 1.3 billion sub contract with Saudi Binladin Group, a main contractor at Princess Noura Bint Abdurrahman Girls University in Riyadh.

Under the deal, VISION will provide various electrical and mechanical installations in the construction of the University. It is the second contract signed by the company with the contractors, highlighting the excellent performance done by Vision for this landmark project.

Dr. Faysal Alaquil, Business Development Director and the official spokesman of CPC, said that the work will involve 4,000 engineers, technicians and workers from Vision, and will be completed in 24 months.  He further pointed out that the total area of the campus is 4 million square meters, including a 963,548 square meter-complex featuring administrative and faculty buildings, as well as a residential area for students and staff, a commercial mall, recreation and sports centers, security and logistics facilities.

Meanwhile, Eng. Hassan Chahine, the Chief Executive Director of VISION, expressed delight that the company has once again been contracted at Princess Noura University in Riyadh, which he described as a distinguished educational edifice. He said: "Since the beginning of the works in the University we were very keen to participate in the implementation of its electromechanical works. The diversity of CPC companies enabled us to carry out any construction tasks assigned to us in the most appropriate and satisfactory way that suits our clients.”

The contract involves electrical and mechanical works at the University campus including internal works and supplying of engineering supplies, electrical system which includes equipment for medium-and low-tension electricity network, lighting control system, electrical distribution control system, cooling and heating system, water network system, fire alarm and fighting system and sanitation works.
