Doha - A press conference took place today at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Doha, Qatar, to launch a new holding company called (QD SBG Group).

The new holding company is a partnership between the Saudi Binladin Group Company (SBG) and Qatari Diar Real Estate Company (QD) marking the first joint venture between the two giant firms in the state of Qatar.

QD SBG Group will establish two special purposes companies devoted to the Construction and Industrial Services Sector in the state of Qatar.

Dr. Faysal Alaquil, Director of Business Development of Construction Products International Co. (CPC International) and the official spokesperson of CPC announced today after the signage of the agreement between, Mr. Mohamed Bin Mohamad Binladin representing (SBG) and Mr. Ghanim Bin Saad Alsaad representing (QD), that this is a very promising opportunity for CPC to work in the State of Qatar and to provide the projects of this new joint venture the supply of construction and building materials, which is its specialty.

Dr. Alaquil added: “CPC will establish a new firm in Qatar under the name Qatar Construction Products Company (Q CPC)".

He informed reporters that: “CPC has successfully implemented the concept of the “One Stop Shop” in Saudi Arabia through its Industrial Parks in Jeddah, Bahra, Riyadh and a fourth one under construction in Dammam to provide potential contractors and developers with all their construction needs of materials and products.

Dr. Alaquil added: " CPC previously established CPC - Syria, CPC - Egypt, CPC - Emirates and planning to open CPC - Algeria. CPC is very proud to export this successful concept to Qatar”.
